Have you ever had a client or customer you wished you could clone? You know, the ones who make your work fun! The good news is that, when done right, your marketing can be what helps you get more of those people in the door.
Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!
What if I told you it is possible to attract more of the kinds of people to your horse business that you actually love to work with?
In this episode, you’ll learn how to do just that plus the two things that could actually be keeping you from attracting the right people.
Packed with real-life examples to help you implement this strategy in your own equine business, this episode is the catalyst you need to get clarity on how you can move the needle in your business.
Before we get to the one thing you can do to bring in those people you love, it’s important to understand two things you’re doing that may actually be hindering your efforts.
2 Things You’re Doing Now (Or Believe You Have to Do) to Grow Your Equestrian Business That Aren’t Helping You
Talk to everyone in your messaging. The reality is that you aren’t for everyone. Your training style is a fit for certain people. Same for your gear, photography, or whatever you bring to the equine world.
Be everywhere all the time. Trying to be on every platform all the time is a sure way to burnout or even quitting before you get started. The best strategy for your intentional marketing efforts is to pick a platform and go all in. IF you want to grow your equine business, yes, eventually you’ll likely be on multiple platforms. But, trying to be everywhere all the time as you’re starting to make marketing a priority will water down your effectiveness.
So, you know what not to do. Let’s dive into what you should do to attract the customers you love to work with.
One Surprising Way to Attract Customers You Love to Work With
Be clear in who you are for and what you do for them.
That’s the key!
Why is it surprising? Because it’s counter-intuitive.
Seems natural you want to reach everyone, right?
But that’s not going to get you the results you’re after. You want to speak to the right people, and the only way to do that well is to exclude the people that aren’t a right fit.
Instead, hone in on those things that DO set you apart. The thing that makes your prospects say “she’s for me.” Or, that’s the saddle for me. That’s the photographer for me. The trainer, etc.
Clear and effective marketing and messaging are only possible when you know who you are marketing to.
Then, your marketing messaging will pre-qualify your customers. That’s what enables you to attract the ones you love to work with!
And, one of the key ways you can attract the right people is to use a free resource that helps them self-qualify and join your email list.
Even the title of your freebie or lead magnet is a way for you to help your audience self-select that you’re a potential fit to working together or buying from you.
If you need a hand with your lead magnet, be sure to get my FREE Roadmap to Creating A Freebie That Delivers Value & Builds Trust.
Of course, you'll want to listen to the full episode to dig into each of the insights I shared and discover how you can apply each one in your horse business!
