Do you buy into the idea that email marketing can work for you yet you just don’t know where to start? Then this episode is for you! I’m sharing 8 tips that’ll make email marketing doable for every horse business. And we’re breaking them into two episodes so we can dive into each one. Let's get started!
Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!
The other day I saw a post from a business that had the unthinkable happen. They had a huge social media following they’d worked so hard to build up and used to connect with their current and potential customers.
And then out of nowhere, their account on Instagram was hacked, stolen, and then deactivated. And they had no way of getting it back.
Can you imagine?
Such a bummer, right?!
They were left starting over from scratch. And they completely lost all contact with the followers they relied on to keep their business going.
And, friend, if that is not enough of a motivator for you to get started with email marketing, then I’m not sure what else will do it for you.
I’ve said it often and I’ll keep saying it.
Social media is a fantastic marketing tool. But you don’t own it. And you can lose access to it—and the audience that comes along with it—in an instant.
Not to mention there are more and more people that you’ll meet who aren’t on social media anyways.
So, what’s a horse business owner to do?
Well, as you know, I’m a big believer in strategic email marketing to build relationships and drive sales for your horse business.
Now I know that many of you may be starting to think email marketing could work for your business. But you’re not sure how to make it work and you’re maybe even a little intimidated by it.
Or maybe you're doing it but you don't know if you're doing it right or well.
That’s why I’ve dedicated two episodes to sharing some practical tips and strategies to make email marketing doable for your horse business.
Here are the first 4 tips that will help make email marketing doable for you and your business:
Use an email service provider. (My fave for most horse businesses is MailerLite.)
Be strategic with your subject line.
Include links (but not too many).
Remember the mobile experience.
Of course, you'll want to listen to the full episode to dig into how you can apply each of these strategies to your own business.
