Horse business owners often say not posting consistently is their biggest social media hang-up. But, I think behind that not posting problem the real issue is comparison. Learn how you get past comparison so you can make the most of social media for your business.
Welcome to the show notes! Remember, this is a brief summary from the How to Market Your Horse Business podcast. You'll want to listen to the entire episode for all the good stuff!
When I meet horse business owners I always ask them about their challenges when it comes to marketing. And, I often hear that not posting consistently on social media is the biggest problem for them.
However, I now disagree. I’ve been digging deeper on this one. And, I think comparison is the real issue. Or at least at the root of the problem.
Now, I’m not saying that social media is the cause of comparison.
Social media is not the enemy. It just reveals what’s already happening inside of you.
Feeling like you should do what everyone else is doing makes you think you’re never doing enough. Or, it makes you feel like you could never do social media like that person you’re watching who has thousands of followers and is surely more successful than you.
So, what happens? You don’t do it. You don’t post. You don’t create.
When you don’t create content on social media your page or profile visitors and followers have no clue if you’re what they’re looking for or not.
That’s why we’re digging into comparison and social media this week. You’ll discover the two things that are keeping you from making progress and seeing sales through social media.
Plus, learn what I believe you as a horse business owner need to do in order to get past the comparison trap that’s keeping you stuck.
(Hint: The answer lies in creating authentic content that’s compelling to your right people. And my new 3 Day Compelling Content challenge is going to teach you how to do exactly that! Are you signed up yet? The challenge starts October 11 so head to Stormlily.com/challenge today! )
Of course, you'll want to listen to the full episode to dig into each of the insights and discover how you can apply each one in your horse business!
